Karak II

Karak II is a standalone sequel to Karak, and this second installment adds a more complex layer of gameplay while staying approachable for kids. Each player becomes a hero, trying to defeat monsters and their leader: the Dark General. To achieve that, they have to collect resources, build and develop their cities, and train new units (represented by dice) to add to their army. Over the course of the game, players will defeat monsters carrying powerful soul stones – and the player with the most soul stones at the end of the game wins.

As druids you will place dice to take actions to gather provisions, gain knowledge, brew potions, and gain bonuses. Build stone structures, collect herbs, and leave your mark in the sacred wood.

Each turn is a few simple steps that with the right strategy will earn you prestige points and bring you closer to victory.

Thebai

Dark times loom over the kingdom of Thebes. The blind, old king Oedipus left the throne in disgrace and asked Polynices and Eteocles, his own sons, to rule the city together. But power corrupts and ancient feuds call for new blood to be spilled. Soon, Polynices finds himself leading an army from the rival city of Argos against his own brother. The Theban nobles support Eteocles as he maintains precarious rule over Thebes. The young king calls for defenders to man the seven gates of the city, while the invaders’ seven champions lead the attack on the gates. Meanwhile, the famous citadel of Thebes, the Cadmea, lies in disarray. It is as if the Fates themselves have lined everything up against the current rulers of Thebes!

While the common folks prepare for war, the noble families whisper among themselves that the time for new leadership has come, and the time to rebuild the Cadmea is now!

In Thebai, players assume the role of influential leaders from noble families during the tumultuous late Bronze Age. Throughout the game, players are tasked with rebuilding the Cadmea, the citadel of Thebes, while restoring the city’s exports, praying to the gods of the city, and protecting the lives of the citizens as grand heroes spill each other’s blood outside the gates.

The game lasts 10 rounds, each divided into an Action phase and a Fate phase. During the Action phase, players use one Citizen die, and then move their Archon on the Cadmea. During the Fate phase, players may get additional scoring opportunities, depending on their accomplishments and for protecting the city gates. After final scoring the player with the most Victory Points is the winner.

Mutton Bustin

Experience the excitement and thrill of Mutton Bustin, a beloved rodeo event, from the comfort of your table!

In this fast-paced game, each player will take on the role of young cowboys and cowgirls as they compete to see who can stay on the back of a bucking sheep (played by everyone else) the longest.

Riders must quickly roll their dice to meet certain criteria to advance along the score track, earning more points the longer they can stay on. But be careful – all of the other sheep players are simultaneously rolling their own criteria to try and knock the rider off. But there’s a catch for the sheep...they will have to do a series of crazy antics before they can lock in their dice.

The rider with the most points is declared the winner and crowned the Mutton Bustin’ champion!

The Sandcastles of Burgundy

Queen Crab is coming to visit Burgundy, and you want to decorate your village for her royal beach party. Find the right decorations and collect points. The animals of the royal guild will help you when you have finished decorating their shops - but can you find the animals before the others?

In The Sandcastles of Burgundy, you collect points by finding the right decorations, so can you remember under which sand castle the animals of the royal guild are hiding? Roll your two dice at the same time, then you can use them to either look for decorations in sand castles, putting them in your warehouse if you find one, or transport previously collected decorations to your village with your cart. If you have collected two decorations of one color, you can look for the matching animal of the royal guild.

As soon as a player reaches Queen Crab's beach party, the dice round ends. Whoever has collected the most points wins!
